Case for a Creator is one of my favorite documentaries! This series was created by award-winning investigative journalist, and Yale-graduate, Lee Strobel.
Strobel, an avowed atheist at the time, began investigating claims within Christianity after his wife’s conversion.
It is GREAT if you have time to watch the full documentary. However, if you don’t have time at the moment, here are a few fast facts for you:
Origin of Life
In 1950 Miller attempted to recreate the earth’s early atmosphere and create amino acids by using a substitute for lightening during a science experiment. When using the correct components of earth’s early atmosphere, no amino acids formed. However, even if one were able to create an amino acid, the basic building block of life, this is not a complex living cell.
Darwin’s tree of life. The most damaging blow to this theory is the fossil record. There should be small variations in fossil records after 2 centuries of research, but there is not. The Cambria Explosion is a point in history when most major forms of animals appear. If we placed history on a 24 hour clock to show how fast this explosion happened it would be less than a 2 minute period. That doesn’t allow for small changes in Darwin’s theory.
In 1915 Albert Einstein thought he made a mistake in his general relativity equation, but concluded that the universe was either contracting or expanding. Until that time the general idea was the world was eternal and never began to exist. Hubble discovered galaxies were moving away from us leading Einstein to conclude the universe must have started from a single point.
1. Whatever begins to exist has a cause.
2. The universe began to exist.
3. Therefore it has a cause.
The laws of physics are balanced on a razors edge for life to occur.
If gravity or the cosmological constant were altered by 1 part in: 1,00,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 life could not exist.
There also are atleast 28 other separate perimeters that must be finely tuned to sustain life on earth such as, electromagnetic force, strong nuclear force and the speed of light.
What are the chances that a universe has these forces so preciously measured, to sustain complex life?

Typical cell has 3 billion units of DNA. It’s like going into an automobile factory. We are made from trillions of cells.
Flagellum is the most effective machine in the universe. It performs likes a -designed- motor at 100,000rmp. It also happens to be a cell.
Darwin wrote, “If it can be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous successive slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.”
The irreducible complexity in BEHE falsifies his theory because if one part of the cell of removed then the entire cell cannot work properly and it cannot be put back together.
Four characters ACTG, provide instructions to the cells to build the language of life. This is the most densely compact information in the known universe. Where did this information come from? Can you explain the information in the New York Times by showing the process of how ink binds to paper? There is a chemical explosion but no arrangement of information.
